I am so over winter.
Like, so over it. 
We're done.
Ugh.

Looks like I won't be making it into work tomorrow, & thankfully Karen can cover the office for the day, but I'm somewhat dissapointed. I was looking forward to taking some time to give the office a good spring cleaning & sort files & start planning something new for marketing for this month. I've been pumped since I've gotten back from my trip, but business is so slow. I know today it was because of the weather. We had the worst Friday today; the worst Friday I've seen since I've been working as manager & it's quite disheartening because we're doing everything right. I guess it's just that time of year. The late winter slump? Let's call it that.

Today I went to Shoppers & bought new shampoo/cond., some hair smoothing serum, face wash & body wash.
For some reason, that stuff always gets me excited.
New toiletteries for the win!

& now, it's time for bed.
Things are a little stressful at work & it's wearing me down.

I can't wait for spring.
I can't wait for my spark to come back.

I'll short-form everything since people skip lengthy, drawn-out blog entries AKA I know I do, so I figure..

Caribbean Cruise
+ excellent trip
+ warm weather
+ five-star meals everyday
+ down-filled pillows & comforters
+ a balcony suite
+ blackjack in the ship's casino
+ buying pretty jewellery
+ pina coladas galore
+ swimming in the ocean
+ finding a starfish in said ocean
+ gathering cool rocks & shells at the beach
- gathering 'green gems' at the beach excitedly, only to later find out they were pieces of a broken Heineken bottle. (The edges were smooth because of being in the ocean for so long, fooled me!)
- non-waterproof sunblock causing me an insane sunburn w/ blisters
- spending my last 2.5 days in great pain due to said sunburn
- no hockey news, not even on trade deadline day!
+ finding a man on the beach with a Canucks shirt on whom we retrieved trade news from
+ seeing an iguana randomly in a tree!
+ my iguana dance!
+ purchasing a lot of booze for cheap! (it's disturbing what we pay for booze in Canada when you see the prices over at the islands)
- island poverty. houses with barred doors & windows. voodoo country.
- dad renting a car in St. Maartens & getting us lost in the mountains, only to end up at the very top where we found a jail! it was a total National Lampoon kind of day we had there.
+ $2 Corona's on the beach
- a horrible Beatle's "tribute" performed by the ship's entertainment. (Craig, you would have walked onto the stage & taken a crunch on their faces.)
+ Starbucks green tea latte
+ creme brule
+ seafood galore
+/- sushi, but  not as good as Danny's :)
- homesickness hitting me Wednesday evening
- missing my friends & my cat

Other random shit..
+ coming home to find out the Habs were in first place in the East (now in second, but eh!)
+ a client of mine lent me two Montreal Canadiens related books. Lions In Winter & a story on Jean Belliveau.
+ oddly enough, going back to work was nice.
+ possibly going to a fantasia party with Melinda Saturday night, tee hee!
+ crunchy peanut butter
+ Scott's mom's German Chocolate Cake brownies!
+ Jenna visiting me at the office today with her cute little pregnant belly
+ Spring approaching & me not hibernating
+ currently feeling like there is nothing to worry about in life ♥

Clearly, my father & I are crazy. We are seriously driving to Ottawa for one night. ONE night.
Haha.
